The CBA, the Chinese Basketball Association, has many games held in Dongguan. The region is filled with game and practice venues. It will be easy to watch a game, or see the Dongguan Leopards practice sessions.

The CBA (www.cba.gov.cn) is a non-governmental organization in charge of basketball at national level that, formed in 1994, officially began in 1995. At that time, 12 teams participated in the association.

The China Basketball Management Center, a sub-division of the CBA, takes responsibility for promoting the sport in China. The CBA has achieved many successes and put many great players into the spotlight. Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue and Mengke Bateer, are just a few.
