Dongguan Exhibition Center
Dongguan Exhibition Center, a multifaceted exhibition complex, aims at vividly presenting Dongguan's great achievements of the past and grand prospects of the future. It concentrates on what Dongguan has experienced and gained, and what it develops into by involving propaganda, education, consultation and entertainment.
The center is divided into five sections: History Hall, Economy Hall, Urban Construction Hall, Culture Hall and Independent Exhibition Area.
The History Hall shows ancient Dongguan and the miraculous progress and impacts of China’s reform and opening-up. Dongguan played a crucial part to south China's culture, to the modern history of the nation, and to the anti-Japanese war.
The Economy Hall describes great economic achievements of the city by displaying export-oriented economic results, modern service industry, IT industry, and industrial park and private-sector economy. The concept of “get rich together in a well-to-do society” is exposed, heavily reflecting export-oriented and IT industry characteristics that treat production as a pillar to industrial development.
The Urban Construction Hall reflects achievements of "one year, one stride: thus a new city emerges in five years” project and the prospects of Dongguan for the future.
The Culture Hall, housing great achievements by Dongguanese and their traditions and customs, displays how important Dongguan’s culture is to Chinese history.
The Independent Exhibition Area reflects the solicitude of leaders from the CCP and State as well as contributions of other cities, areas and investors.
