Songshan Lake High-tech Industry Park
Dongguan Songshan Lake, located in the center of Dongguan, is a new high-tech park to which Dongguan has devoted great resources in recent years. Since the beginning of its construction, in 2002, Songshan Lake has developed rapidly and in accordance with central ecological programming idea: “combining science and nature, prospering development and ecology.”
Due to its success in the attraction of investment and its growing influence, the Department of Science and Technology has identified Songshan Lake as the “High-Tech Industry Park with the Greatest Development Potential in China.” The park as a 72 km2 control area, in which lies an 8 km2 freshwater lake and green area of 14 km2.
The park is divided into several domains: administration area, northern mill town, science park, education area and tourism area. The tourism area contains the Songshan Lake, Songshan Lake Flower Sea, Zhuangyuanbi Park, Lotus Lake Park, and other scenic spots.
