Haogang Relics Museum
Haogang Shell Mound Site, located in Haogang Village of the Shenghe Community in Nancheng District, has an area of over 650 square meters. It is one of the earliest prehistoric cultural relics, it can be dated back about 5000 years. It is very rare, even in China, to find such a well-preserved Neolithic Age site, especially in such a busy downtown area. Some pottery remains, stone instruments, bone tools and clam artifacts have been unearthed along with other important Neolithic relics such as sintering soil, houses, tombs, ash pits and ditches. Two well-preserved ancient human remains have also been unearthed from the tombs. Hence the Haogang Shell Mound area is titled "the first village of the Pearl River delta" and "the foundation of Dongguan's history and culture." Haogang plays a significant role in the research of the pre-historic culture of southern China.
Constructed atop the excavation site, the Haogang Relics Museum, with an area of 4,645 m2, is a relic themed museum which mainly exhibits the colorful pottery culture of the Three-River Area of the Pearl River, the Yangtze River and the Yellow River while also acting as a vital window into ancient civilizations of Dongguan.

Dongguan Cuisine Museum
This is a private museum built by Dongguan Garden Porridge City Service Co., Ltd, the first local museum of Guangdong province. The museum exhibits collections of local cooking customs and related materials and presents the progress and innovations of cuisine in Dongguan.
Only people who chose to eat a meal in their restaurant can visit the museum. For in truth, the museum is part of the restaurant.

Dongguan Museum
Situated in the downtown are, this is the most comprehensive museum of archaeological collections of Dongguan.
The museum serves several functions: collection, maintenance, research, education, etc. It is regarded the cultural center of Dongguan.

Weimei Ceramics Museum
Weimei Ceramics Museum, located in Gaobu Town of Dongguan, was established by Guangdong Weimei Ceramic Co., Ltd. It is the first museum to support this industry category that has been invested in by self-collected funds of private companies. It is also the first museum of the architectural ceramic industry. It presents the image of Dongguan as an internationally-known manufacturing city. In April of 2007, Weimei Ceramic Museum was officially upgraded to Architectural Ceramic Museum of China.
There are four sections to the museum, including the history of construction ceramics of China, Chen Fucheng aesthetical art museum, modern ceramic art mill and the aesthetical ceramic museum.
The complex is a mere 6 kilometers away from downtown.

Kingway Beer Museum
The Kingway Beer Museum can be considered as a themed museum as well as an industrial tour site. It is actually the Kingway Beer Plant, an integrated complex for beer production, beer industrial tourism and dietary leisure. Because of these value-adding functions, the museum is honored as the “most beautiful beer plant of China”.
The exhibition hall is the major attraction of the museum, covering an area over 3000 square meters large. It unites more than 1000 exhibits, demonstrating the origination and culture of beer through a number of historic records, vivid sculptures and other artistic forms. It also interprets the beer-brewing history of ancient Egypt, ancient Europe, Germany and China.
It is selected as one of the “Top Ten Must-see Sites in Dongguan.”
